Encouraging Word Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Encouraging Word Baptist Church.

Life Groups

Traditionally called “Sunday School”, our Life Groups currently meet on Sunday mornings at 9:45 am. Age-oriented groups exist for Mature Adults, Median Adults, Youth, and Children. We use materials reviewed and approved by Lifeway Resources.

Youth Ministry

The young adult group of Encouraging Word Baptist Church provides a welcoming atmosphere for middle school and high school students. They have participated in Solid Rock Revival, had Super Bowl parties, gone caroling and met for study and fellowship. Youth meet Sundays at 9:45 am in the 2nd Classroom on the right as you enter Bethel Middle School (located next door to the church building).  Mark your calendar for Summer Youth Camp on June 20-24, 2016.  Pastor Jason will have much more info as we get closer to the camp.  For more info about Youth Ministry at EWBC please contact Pastor Jason at jasonspeier@gmail.com or 828.736.3586

Children’s Program

Children are welcomed to join us at 9:45 am on Sundays for a special kids-oriented Bible lesson presented by caring teachers. During Worship Service they are invited to join other kids for their own time of games and worship led by our wonderful Children’s Worship leaders. They meet again on Wednesday evenings while their parents and siblings attend age-specific programs. You can be assured your children are in a safe and loving environment at Encouraging Word!

Women’s Missionary Group (WMU)

Encouraging Word’s Women’s Group is called “The Harvesters.” This group gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups are times of Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Baptist Men

Accountability among men is an act of integrity. Accountability is designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages. Accountability groups of three are formed among the men of EWBC. Accountability groups meet together as their schedules allow and keep in touch by email or phone.
